The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband released its Notice of Funding Availability for the Computer Labs Program. This new grant opportunity is designed to support local governments, community-based organizations, non-profits, and anchor institutions in creating Computer Labs and Centers in Maryland.
These computer labs will serve to reduce gaps in access to devices and the Internet by providing public computer access for individuals with disabilities, Marylanders without permanent residence (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning citizens. If your organization serves any of these covered populations and would be interested in establishing a computer lab or center, the OSB encourages you to apply.
If you know of any organizations that may be interested in this opportunity – especially those already serving these populations – OSB encourages you to spread the word.
For more information on the program, go to the Computer Labs Program (MD-CLP) under the Digital Equity section of the Grants Programs on the OSB website to view the Application Guide and additional materials.
