The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is excited to announce the inaugural MDH Public Health Workforce Development Internship Program that is expected to begin fall 2022. The purpose of the program is to form partnerships with academic institutions by creating student internship opportunities, and building a graduation-to-workforce pipeline that will bolster the public health workforce.
The fall session will be 13 weeks and run from September 6, 2022 to December 6, 2022. This program is open to students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program that are in good academic standing who have a special interest in public health. Students can work a minimum of 120 hours and a maximum of 260 hours during the 13-week period, which will average to approximately 15 hours/week.
