Mini-Grants Available for Activities to Support Dorchester Youth

The Dorchester County Health Department is making mini-grants available to local programs and community organizations to offer activities for Dorchester County youth. Awards of up to $5,000 per applicant will be available.

The Campaign for Grade Level Reading, in collaboration with the health department, surveyed school-aged youth across Dorchester County in 2023. The survey identified ways and activities to support youth. This funding opportunity is intended to assist local programs in offering activities based on the survey findings.

Completed applications are due by 5 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024. Proposed activities must be completed by June 15, 2024. Applicants are encouraged to incorporate youth tobacco/vape prevention messaging into activities.
