Gambling Prevention Grants Available for Maryland Organizations

The Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling invites Maryland community organizations to apply for the FY2027 Special Populations Problem Gambling Prevention Grant Program. This funding supports initiatives that raise awareness and prevent problem gambling among populations at higher risk. 

Awards typically range from $3,000 to $10,000 and support efforts such as community education, outreach, and integration of prevention strategies into existing programs serving at-risk groups.  

Program goals include: 

• Increasing awareness of gambling risks and available resources 

• Integrating problem gambling prevention into mental health, substance use, and public health efforts 

• Expanding reach to underserved and higher-risk populations across Maryland  

Important Dates: 

• Grant submission: June 1, 2026-September 18, 2026  

• Pre-application workshop: August 20, 2026, 1 pm  

• Grant Review: September 21, 2026-October 23, 2026  

• Notify grantees of award: October 27, 2026
