Stronger Together
Welcome to the Mid Shore Health Improvement Coalition Website
Partners from across the Mid Shore of Maryland are working together to address pressing health issues. First priority? Preventing and Managing Diabetes.
Join us in our efforts to help our community.
Why Diabetes?
According to the federal government, the number of US adults diagnosed with diabetes has more than doubled in the past 20 years. And on the Mid Shore of Maryland, over a third of all adults have prediabetes, the condition that often leads to diabetes. This is our shared call to action: to take steps today to build a Healthy Mid Shore for ourselves and for future generations.
