Mission: To improve the health of residents of the Mid Shore region through a local collaborative effort that identifies, prioritizes, and provides strategic action planning to solve health problems.
The Mid Shore Health Improvement Coalition is one of 18 Local Health Improvement Coalitions that have formed to focus attention on improving the health of communities across Maryland. The Mid Shore Health Improvement Coaltion was officially formed in 2012 and represents a wide segment of community partners from all five counties (Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot), including: Local Health Departments, hospitals, clinics, primary care providers, academic institutions, faith-based organizations, and other community health resources.
